TW-06 Quarry View Trig Point

This trig point is marked by a traditional white ‘hotine’ pillar. This sits atop Castle Hill, the site of an Iron-age Fort, which is thought to have been constructed over 2000 years ago. From here there are great views towards the Kilsyth hills and along Kelvin Valley. Immediately south of this point is a disused quarry where quartz-dolerite was formerly used for roadstone.
