MC-05 Red Moss

This is an area on the outskirts of Milton of Campsie just beyond where the last Bellway Houses were built. It is an area used by walkers and others to see a large area of natural habitation, including plants, wild orchids etc. Many birds are attracted to this area including Redwings & Fieldfares n a stream which runs through Redmoss and I have been told that it is a run for salmon spawning. It is also an area used as a wildlife corridor by birds and wild animals. It is an area which is highly treasured by the residents of Milton of Campsie.
