LZ-14 Villas at Victoria Road

Victoria Road, Lenzie

There are many grand houses along Victoria Road, some of which have been home to Scottish celebrities.
The design for Number 27 was created by renowned architect Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson, though possibly reused or adapted from an earlier design. You can see some aerial images of this building here

Scottish singer Kenneth McKellar once lived at ‘Machrie Mhor’, 39 Victoria Road. This is a large Queen Anne rivival villa, which was built in the 1920s. Another resident of the street was cartoonist William ‘Bud’ Neill, of Lobey Dosser fame.
