BA-20 Cadder Church

Cadder Church

There is evidence to suggest that there has been a church at Cadder since 1150 AD. The present church building replaced the previous in 1825, as can be read from the plaque on the East Wall.

Notably, Thomas Muir was an elder of the Church in the 1780s, and lent his legal training to a controversial defence of the congregations right to elect their own minister.
