Trails
Bishopbriggs - Cadder & Mavis Valley Trail
Start at the leisure centre at Balmuildy Road. From here cross the canal bridge & turn left to descend onto the canal towpath in a westerly direction. There are interpretation panels relating to Mavis Valley at this location. Follow the canal path for a 500m until an access point on the right hand side opens.
Follows this path north through woodland, then turn right circling the open fields site of Mavis Valley where historical relics can be seen. Continue through the woodland, emerging back onto Barmuildy Road. Take a right & return to the canal bridge where the next section begins on the north bank of the canal. Turn left onto the canal path on the north bank without crossing the bridge, head east towards the destination point of Cadder Church.
At this point there is an option to take a connecting route north from Cadder to Torrance.
From Cadder Church head back along the path for a short distance & continue across the bridge beginning the return leg to Balmuildy Road along the opposite bank of the canal.
