East Dunbartonshire Heritage & History Forum

Established in 2010 to help the area’s local history societies and groups work together on issues of common interest, such as the sharing of ideas and expertise, joint research, joint use of equipment and joint publishing programmes. The Forum also provides a campaigning focus if local history services are threatened. It campaigns in a more positive way as well, to encourage the widest possible range of people to take an interest in the absorbing history of this part of Scotland, and to work closely with cultural and educational organisations.

Each local history group in East Dunbartonshire is invited to send a representative to the Forum, which meets regularly.
