Creative writing sharing event - local stories

Over the past few months as part of Trails and Tales, writer, Annette Allison has been working with libraries, communities and reading groups across East Dunbartonshire, developing stories and reminiscences. Scheduled during BOOK WEEK SCOTLAND this event brings a selection of these stories together for sharing through short readings by participants. Local stories gathered through the Project include tales from ‘the ladies of Lenzie’, ‘trips to the sea side’ and ‘campsie glen’, to stories of ‘mining’ and ‘beloved Pit ponies’. Come reminisce, and have a cuppa and chocolate biscuit with us!

As part of the project, Trails and Tales are publishing a small booklet of some of the stories and images associated with the many tales developed through the workshops and a free publication of a selection of these stories will be made available to all who attend.
