As part of the Thomas Muir Festival , Trails and Tales ran a partnership project, taking the stained glass in Cadder Church as a starting point for creative activity between young people and families, led by artist Rachel Mimiec.

Over the course of the day, architect Lizzie Smith of Collective Architecture introduced participants to some of the many stained glass works in Cadder Church and in particular those by the artist Sadie McLellan. Drawing on the festival theme of radical women, Lizzie, showed examples of the innovative approaches to stained glass developed and used by Sadie, including dalles de verre.

All of the participants then worked with Rachel and drew on their own imagination to create new designs, drawn and painted on to acetate and installed temporarily inside the church.
