Meet Your Artist!

Rachel Barron is one of our Trails & Tales artists who will be creating public art works across East Dunbartonshire. Initially from a background in painting, her work stretches across multiple disciplines, primarily encompassing installation, sculpture and printmaking. She is interested in the local heritage of Kirkintilloch’s foundries, Calico Printing in Milton of Campsie & Turkey Red dye works at Milngavie. Come along for a cup of tea & cake to meet Rachel & gain an insight into her creative process.

We would love to hear from you, tell us about the industries you think are important to remember in East Dunbartonshire. Rachel is 1 of 13 artists who will create up to 40 art works across East Dunbartonshire as part of the Trails & Tales Programme.
