Music making workshops for ages 3 – 5 years children and their parents.Come explore getting the messages through music with Kirsty Hamilton of Quavers Music. We will be playing with percussion instruments, singing traditional Scottish songs and listening to local shopping stories! There will also be the opportunity to look at photos of the old co ops, dress up in pinnies and caps and
handle traditional shopping objects like tills and butter pats!

“ The food was large too – butter in barrel shaped lumps, cheese in huge slabs and bacon came in a large shoulder. Customers
got their messages at the counter, your order of butter was made into a pat using wooden paddles, cheese cut to order with cheese wires and bacon sliced on a machine to the thickness you wanted. Everything was put into grease proof paper and then a paper bag.”
